went to the dear ole' mazda dealer today to get an oil change without an appointment because I could not get through to anyone on the phone since Thursday, was told they would do it this time only because they are appointments only on Saturdays.
Well, the oil change was done and as we are driving away my wife happens to notice the report card on the bill says "leak at the oil pan" so i call the service department and after being put on hold for about 15 minutes(7 or 8 miles away) I ask about the leak and was told that it was more of a seep and that it was nothing to worry about and that it would not be covered under warranty anyway until it was a leak???WTF..I could only laugh, I had them on speaker phone and my wife and I just looked at eachother and started laughing.
I guess I will have to wait until all the oil seeps out and let the engine run without oil so that they can replace the entire engine? an ounce of prevention Mazda.
Anyway I am not really pissed, I just thought I'd share my story.
Purchased oil filter and fuel system cleaner from the dealer, will DIY oil next time.
