rear wiper

Guys,

Does your rear wiper work well to wash the window? Mine always leaves a one inch gap at the top of the arc. It just smears the dirt around i find, like theres not enough pressure on the arm. I have to unload tons of washer fluid for it to work properly.

Might have to with the fact I live on a dirt road to my back window stays dusty all the time...

For the people who say it works fine, did you replace the blade yet or are you still using the one that came with the car?

I picked up my car at the end of last April so of course I'm still using the stock blade.

I just make it a point to clean it during my washing.

I know that the rear is a huge dirt magnet.

No, I just gently wipe along the blade when I wash my car and pull them away from the window so that it can dry.

There is a "Mother's Preserve Protectant" that can be used on rubber. I just can't find it, but I'm curious to see if this will protect the wiper blades but not cause smearing.

The rear wiper sucks, changed the blade, still sucks.

Not enough pressure on the arm.

Just RainX your windows. It does wonders, no need to use wipers in heavy rain and makes it real easy to clean and wipe windows.

Hey, that's not bad, i just might try that.

Thanks budy! :D

Not to mention that coating the windows makes it easier to chip off the ice!
(I don't imagine that's a problem in the Bay Area?;-)

I RainX the hell out of everything on my car, but since there is no wind that really hits the rear window, it doesn't do much. All the other windows work perfectly.

But it helps the rear window wipe away clean with the wiper.
