radio console

hey guys,

i was wondering if any of you have instructions or pictures on how to take the radio console out. I want to flip the pocket around and put the radio at the bottom, but when i took the console off the dash it was held by screws im guessing and there is no way of going around it to unscrew it.
so my question is
Do i have to take the whole radio out, because thats is going to be hard because i didn't get the tools to pull the radio out, and if i needed to where can i get those tools?

pics or anything would be really appreciated?

You can simply swap the radio out but you need the screw keys.
Just do a search and you should find several threads to get there correct size. If I find it first I'll let you know.

Once the radio is out you can unscrew the screws holding the metal bar between the radio and pocket in then you have to pull really hard on both units, one at a time since they are secured in the back.

Thanks, I figured it out last night took me till 2 o'clock in the morning. I managed to move the headunit down and move the pocket on top. It was a b**** but it was worth learning new things on the car.

what did you use to takje the headunit out, i want to swap my dvd and radio around.

I actually did not take out the whole headunit, what i did is took the whole console out and i noticed the the pocket underneath wasn't connected to the headunit so when I took out the pocket i was able to push down the headunit. What i noticed is that if you can get around to the back of the headunit you might be able to pull it out from behind. Good luck it was a b**** doing all of that.
