LORD! What a** holes....I hate dealers. I remember going to a local Toyota dealership to check out a used MR-2 Spider when they first came out. Apparently a guy purchased it and had to return it a few weeks later after he found out his wife was pregnant. I thought to myself, Great maybe it'll be marked down a little from the $24,000 MSRP. Walked over...and what did it say on the sticker?!........$32,000...for a USED MR-2 Mind you! I even talked to one of the dealers, initially thinking it was a typo. Dealer *in an arrogant tone*, "Nope that's what they go for.." UGH..Jerk-off.

About the Neon, I dunno guys I don't mean to be a traitor but if I hadn't purchased my P5 when I did I might be rolling around in my first, ever, domestic. It's a very impressive car- especially for STOCK! The best part it is carries a factory 7 year 70,000mi warranty. Can't beat that. If I try and turbo my P5 my powertrain warranty bites the dust. Any subsequent engine problems.....I'm S.O.L.
And for all you, "Yeah it's fast but in the end it's STILL a NEON"ers......don't worry you won't have to look at it. Well only it's tailights.

Its not thats its a neon thats a problem, its that it looks like a neon. If they had redesigned it so it didn't look gay then I would be looiking into one.

DSM: Diamond Star Motors

A DSM is the Eclipse/Talon/Laser platform which comes in a 1Gen and 2Gen. The new eclipse does not count as a DSM as the partnership is no longer around. Actually I think it went away in 98 or so.

I always wanted to go to the Shootouts but it didnt work out with my work schedule. My local chapter in NY went in a troop of ten or so. I wish I could have gone.
I just got a copy of the video as a consolation prize.

hehe ya I've watched a few of the videos while chatting at ExtremeMotorsports. Would have been neat to go.

We use to have huge caravans come to the East Coast Meet in Virginia. Think the biggest was about 25-30 cars that came from baltimore and maryland area. Great times, miss that car sometimes.
