Mazda, RX8
Though many still view it as a Neon, its still a amazing new addition to the sport compact scene.

Have to dig up some dynos I've found but it pushes way way way more than what they are rating it. The wheel hp is what they are rating it to be at the engine. Plus they already got stage upgrades that Do not void the warrenty bring the wheel power to 300+.

Ohhhhh

anyways here's the video

btw the Neon has 3 people in the car.....

Hold on let me see if the orginal link is still working. Other wise I'll put it back up tommorrow, once the current video gets downloaded enough.

DSM: Diamond Star Motors

A DSM is the Eclipse/Talon/Laser platform which comes in a 1Gen and 2Gen. The new eclipse does not count as a DSM as the partnership is no longer around. Actually I think it went away in 98 or so.

It actually dissolved before the second generation cars came out but they continued to be recognized as a DSM.

Yep thought it happen sometime around the 2gen period when the Laser went buh bye :( Sad cause my friend and I use to race a 1gen laser and 1gen TSi.

4g63 is a amazing engine.

Amazing engine. One of the most, if not stoutest factory 4 cyl available.
Only matched in strength by the Nissan Sr20's

Yep!

We had no problems with our engines, only lost the TSi to crank walk. Yep crank walk in a 1gen, amazing but true.

The Laser got cut off on the highway and blew a tire sending it spinning into a guardrail. Pushed the whole frame about 3 inches to one side. Got pics at home, kinda of funny to see the left tires sticking 2-3inches out of the tire wells.

I miss those cars in some ways, but that TSi was almost to dangerous to drive on the street. A beast in its own right.

I hit a curb and then a buick in mine after attacking a corner to fast. :'(

It's what prompted me to get a FMIC.

Check out the positive camber in the second shot!

hehe

well I cant find the left rear shot with the tire sticking out but here are some of the right side

You can kinda of see the right rear tire being pushed in. Thats not cause of the body damage.

The struts in the front were resting on the tranny...

Sad day when seeing DSMs in damaged states. BUT! We did trade the engine from the Laser to ExtremeMotorsports for a set of 272 cams for the Eagle. :) :)

Sweet.
I think I am going to pay off the Mazda after about 2 years and then use it as a downpayment on a Evo VIII.
When there is not so much price gouging.
Have you seen what this one dealer is asking for it up in the San Francisco area?
