I got my friends old pc which is AMD 1800+, the problem is that its too loud and I wanna get a new case for it. Will any computer case work ? I just need a cheap one from newegg since this is gonna be my 3rd pc at home and basicaly just for internet use.

It depends on if it's a generic brand now. If it is, or if it was a previously home built you should be good with any case that fits that motherboard type (ATX, etc.) If it is a Dell, HP/Compaq, etc. then you may have trouble with a different case. The name brands typically have odd size (that is, have to buy their replacement parts - $$$) components such as power supplies. Although I've had luck getting name brand bits to go into generic, you'll have trouble getting standard components to fit into a name brand case.

What is to loud on it? If it isn't overclocked you could get a big silent heatsink on it, and of course quieter case fans. Sort of depends on how much money you want to put into it.
