More HP to Get 13's High

Thanks, I must have missed that.

granted he was running some pretty high boost, his mods other than that are fairly basic, and with some decent driving, and hope of traction, the basic mods will net you low 14s, and a high 13.

I think those mods will only yield 14's likely high ones without turning boost to very unreliable levels.

Best 1/4 to date 13.99@ 102
2.5" downpipe & 3" catback
JoeP XZ MBC & FP Reducer & FCD
Copper NGK BKR7E plugs
boost turned up to 17 psi

thats Wesman's time and mods....

Ive also seen a 14.3 a few times with basic mods....... with high enough traps to be in 13s with a great launch and traction...
but yea point being, for reliable 13s, you need a decent bit of work, but its not impossible.

bingo 17 PSI! Not exactly what one does to an engine they like!
Also was that on pump gas?

i think he said half 104,half 94...

he was running 14.0's on pump, so its probably a traction issue.

I stand by my statement you will need those listed mods to break into the 13's reliably with pump gas.

You're looking in the wrong direction. Reliable power is not the problem. Pretty much everyone with just intake, exhaust, fpr mod, and 10-11psi is trapping around 100mph. 100mph traps in a 2950lb car should be easy 13s... if there is decent traction! On stock tires, it's near impossible to cut a 60' below 2.30. That's why we see low 14 second ETs.

jred you da man. Good search :D

As far as traction, there is none with the Stockers. Those potenzas either spin to hell, or wheel hop like a bunny in heat. I ran 14.93 on 10 lbs of boost alone. With a 60 ft time of 2.229. I know the msp can easily get a 2.1 or lower with full slicks, or even street drag radials. Ill scan my time slip tomorrow at work for all the non believers of my time.
:D

Ah, good to know.
