Mazda5 Fighter: Ford C-Max coming to the US

Then you're doing pretty good on 'em. Regardless of how much cost they add, you're just confirming it's based on preference, not longevity. I'll never buy a new car either. Ours is a family vehicle, and I wouldn't make my wife drive a stick again now that she has 3 kid's (2 are ours) to tote around. We enjoy the 5, automatic transmission and all.

Back from the rabbit trail. I will check out the C-Max just for comparison if anything. We have nothing else on the market that truly competes with the 5.

Check the sliding doors - molded armrests (and cupholders) which the 5 does not have
That's just for 1 arm though, I was referring to the ones we have that are for both arms. The cup holders and sliding door speakers are nice though.

Your 5 must be different from mine - only one armrest on the inboard side and flat expanse of plastic on the sliding doors.

Nevermind, I am an early adopter w/ an 06 model.

Yea, our 2nd row has two fold-up armrests just like the 1st row. We opted for the '08 because rear a/c is mandatory here in Florida, I guess the armrests were another feature I overlooked but lucked out on.
