Lets See Those 16's Please!!!

does anybody know what offset i need to look for with 16's??? i know 17 and 18's are 42+, but is it the same with 16's. I found a sweet deal on 16's, but they are only a 40 offset

Good thread! I'm also lookin for some 16's. Put some heavy a$$ 17's on my llast car and I didn't really like how much it affected the performance, so I'm lookin for some light 16's.

If they're 16x7s a 40mm offset will rub.

^^^ That offset worries me. Even with a 6.5" wide wheel you're still going to be running a wider tire I assume: 205/50? IMO, I would only go for something +45 and higher.

I found some rims I'm interested in, they're 16x7, with a +42 off set, would these rub at all? I haven't lowered the car at all still at stock height. I would be putting 205/50/16 tires on them also.

Link.
205/50s on +42 is definitely a gray area. I'm running 205/50s on +40, I rolled the fenders, and I'm still rubbing. But my tires' section width is unusually large. More normal 205/50s might squeeze right in there. :)
