iPod Integration

Here's a link to Med Center Mazda's Mazda OEM iPod integration modules:

though I still think that it would be better to just buy an aftermarket radio with a built in iPod connection.

On the Mazda OEM ipod integration modues, I wonder why the one for the '08/'09 is so much higher than for the other years?

Hey SlvMazda5...you got anything for me?

Sorry to dig up this aged thread...but I am curious to hear more about this product. Have you tried using the regular AUX input on this device? If so, how is the sound quality?

I went ahead and purchased this. It works well....now you cant control the Mp3 player or Ipod from the Head Unit but it works just like anyother AUX input....you have to get your own cord...It also has a SD card slot that you could load with music ( I have an 8GB card in mine) and control it from the Head unit. And it also has a usb plug on the box . Its a little confusing once its in. you have to hit the CD button to get to the box to turn on (and that plays your SD card and you can use the headunit controls to go thru the folders and files but you hasve to start on #2 folder) and if you want to use the AUX you have to hit the repeat button to get that to work...once you get the hang of it your good to go. But it directly plugs into the headunit and it hides well in the glove compartment...very stealthy...What I did was I Hid the AUX cable and brought it under the rug and console and made a hole in the storage cubby and brought the wire thru there to plug my Ipod shuffle too( or my phone or whatever you want to plug into the Auxillary jack )

Did you do this part? I know it says Mazda 6, but?

Maybe that is why you're having all the issues you mentioned?

Peace!(rei)
