Help with disassembly of rear wiper motor?

My rear wiper stopped working a few months ago. At first I thought I was lucky because I noticed that the fuse had blown but after replacing the fuse it still didn't work. I read on a post here that sometimes the spindle that the wiper arm attaches to can rust and seize and that it can be cleaned to work like new again. I have been unable to find a cheap motor so I decided to try this route but I'm unsure of how to remove the spindle from the assembly to clean it. Anyone have any experience with this? any help is much appreciated!

I had the same problem and the wiper blade was stuck in the middle of the windshield. (I found out later that the power was on the whole time until the blade hits the bottom of it's sweep).

I just sprayed the spindle with pb-blaster then pushed on the wiper arm to help it along till it was freed up. Then I pulled the wiper arm off and sprayed some more while the motor was on to work the fluid inside. Then I caked the entire thing with grease put it back together and it's been working fine for over two years.
