Is there an fmic available that doesn't require cutting of the crash bar or anything else? I'm looking to try an ebay one to save money.

Any FMIC kit requires trimming of the core support for the piping but if your core is 7" tall or shorter it can fit between the crash bar and bumper. I have mine this way however I would like to trim the crash bar and mount the IC about an inch higher to better fit the lower grille. I am using the ebay FMIC kit with 2.5" piping.

How is the speed circuit fmic? How hard is it to install an fmic? Does the speed circuit come with piping or would I have to buy piping?

The SC FMIC has two metal screws that attach it.

It is exactly the size of the space in the bumper so it requires no alteration EXCEPT that you should cut the metal to the left and the right of the radiator to let the pipes in.

They are both really good alternatives to the stock (Plastic) SMIC.

If you are not going to be boosting much more than stock, it might be a good option.

Ther reason I did not suggest it was that you said FMIC.

I'm not looking to push crazy boost so I'm thinking I might not need a fmic. I just wanna get a little more power, around the 200 mark

Front Mount FTW... it's hard not wanting more power and then not acting upon it...
Brian is a good example

FMIC is a funniy thing..

The natural ideal is "The Bigger The Better"

That is not the case always.

Average Ambient Temp and How close the the Edge you plan to take the Turbo.

I have the SC FMIC hooked to a GT30 71 and normally it is hardly working, thus hardly making heat.

If I still had my GT28 and was pushing the same HP, I would be worried and want a huge FMIC like I had in the past.

last spring I redid everything at once and carefully planned everything to work together.

My IAT has yet to log over 42 Deg and that was stuck in traffic..

Under load it quickly drops then slowly climbs, as soon as I let off the temp drop.

The SC FMIC was a great addition to my car.,

Do you know how many I'd need? And the size of the piping so I know what size the cai or Sri intakes inlet would have to be.

I happen to work for SpeedCircuit. If you would like I could get you a list and prices on all you would need. Just shoot me a PM.

how much are you boosting with that gt30 Brian?

Ran the start of the summer on Spring Pressure of 12 PSI, then walked it to 15 and then 18 once I was happy with how the Target O2 was behaving.

Tried 20 for a couple of shots and it was quite a different car, even compared to 15Psi

You will need 2x90 Degree for the FMIC

You will Need 1x From turbo
You will need a 45 or 90 at the Throttle depending on if it is a 65mm or OEM TB
You will need 1x To join the two pipes leaving from the FMIC
