exhaust difference

what is the difference between exhaust systems for the mp3...and those made for the protege 5? like what sort of modification must be made to a 2 1/2" header back exhaust that was made for a mp3 for it to fit a protege 5??

I think its just the fact that the rear bumper/over-hang is shorter on the P5...therefore the rear section/tip is shorter. Other than that its the same car.

If I am incorrect someone please clarify.

You are right. The Protege 5 is about five inches shorter, and so the exhaust is about five inches shorter than that on the sedan.

I think the hangers for the muffler are slightly different as well because of this.

It only really changes for the axle back section.
