Somebody knows where to install the sensor for an Auto Meter electrical oil pressure gauge? I installed one on my P5 but the only thing i miss is the sensor , got the cable trough the engine bay an everything , but don't know where the sensor goes? any idea? pictures? how to maybe ? PLease I really need this thing to check the oil pressure, 121000 miles and I have to put oil on the engine from time to time!!!(evil) thanks!!

well you can do it one of two ways, you can remove the factory oil pressure switch above the oil filter on the back of the block, and place the sending unit there. Or you can buy a oil filter sandwich plate that has four ports that you can screw the sending unit into. Either way, just be sure to use thread sealant on the ending unit's threads.

Thanks for your help brother,I'Gonna check that option and I let you know , And by the way awesome swap man, I would like to do that on my p5, and how many horse power you have on that thing? Thanks again

I got the sensor installed, now the pressure, how much suppose to be? in Idle is 25 or less, driving is 75, is that ok? somebody? thanks for the advice IukekiniProtege.

I never ran a oil pressure gauge on my 1.8l which would be similar to the 2.0l u have, but those pressures sound really safe and a bit close to the v6 I have now. Basically, as you drive you will see where it normally falls at what rpm/driving condition and if it ever varies a decent amount you know you have a problem.
