P psifactor Member Mar 20, 2003 #2 You should change the shocks unless the springs are the same rate as the original shocks. A stiff spring is 150lb/inch If you put in the 150lb/inch spring on a stock shock, it will bounce, the soft shock wont be able to control the action of the stiff spring. and you will have a little stiffer ride...
