not for nothin, i know anyone who signs the paper if they dyno but thats crap. 5 secs? thats a long time up there. I dont know what u can do about it, but at least u sprayed that guy with oil

what happends when u exceed the rpm on the mpi? could that all have been caused by this? cause he went over redline for an extended time, the mpi only goes so high (whatever u programmed), maybe it screwed the fuel, and ur piston speed (or whatever is called) must have been through the roof for 5 secs. I dont know if im explaining this right but i know u guys get the idea lol

that was the first dyno ive been too where u cant drive the car.

well' most dynos have their own operator, actualy ALL of the ones i know of in florida as far as i know will not let you drive your car.

Turfburn is the smart one here (no offense to anybody) what type of failures can happen at that high rpm? Is it possible the piston damage was caused by this?

Mine crapped due to Sustained High Revs.

I was doing 235Km/h When it failed...

none taken, just throwin ideas out. we should find out what happends when u go past what the mpi is programmed for rpms too. that might be a contributing factor.

lol. That came out kinda harsh I guess. I figured he would have a billion mathmatical formulas to throw out there to make me feel like I was in Calc. 2 again....

Hmmmmmmm. Reminds me of the Apprentice. Street Smarts vs. Book Smarts.

Ouch! LOL... I don't know if you are being harsh or just playin!

I'd have to see pics of the pistons to make any decent guesses... If your piston to wall clearance was too tight you could have seized the piston at the high rev's... but not as likely.. all depends on good the rings were doing on holding on... get some nasty ring flutter in there and all hell could break loose pretty quick.

So basically as it stands your rods and crank are intact, valves are intact (no impact to them directly) but the pistons are fubared... With no traces of detonation.... the only thing I can think of is fatiguing at those wrist pins and shattering the piston or something serious with the rings... But again.. pics would be a huge helper.
