Zaino vs NXT

Ok, 127 + shipping Canadian gets me a zaino kit.

60 bucks gets me some Meguiars NXT s***

I usually use Mothers 3 stage, and steer away from meguiar's. Why? Well, Mothers smells better :) no, j/k but I always found meguiar's doesn't last for s***. Just washes right off in a few weeks, and it's a SOB to put on.

But i have not tried the new NXt stuff

every year I almost get zaino. but Zaino is still a lot of money for "wax". But the ease of application and the bowling ball shine appeals to me. But for 127 bucks, I'm thinking, am I nuts? I don't usually keep the car beyond two years anyways. I think I will have the msp for 3 yrs this time though.

Anyone got any experience with both?

is it as easy as they say it is to apply? I'm getting sick of sore arms with mothers/meguiars products

Zaino is the sh$t. It is so easy application, last longer, and no dusty stuff like turtle wax. $127 for Zaino kit, why is so expensive? What color is your car? If it dark color, you just need Z1, Z5, and Z6. If it is bright color, Z1, Z2, and Z6. It will be around $37 not include shipping. I have been using Zaino for almost 3 year, like it a lot :)

duhhh, my bad. yeach, i think u need Z1, Z5, and Z6 only. I don't know what it is included in the zaino kit. if you decide to get zaino kit, it's your choice. but basically, you just need Z1, Z2, and Z6. can save a little bit money (dunno)

LOL

read your thing again.

So, z2 or z5 is what I need?

Zaino kit has z1,z2,z5,z6,claybar, pads, zfx

I think what your saying is, I don't need z2?

I need zfx as I don't have a garage, and I want to do 2-3 coats in one day.

Dude, I've used Zaino and the NXT wax is SO much better. It's easy to apply, easy to take off, lasts, and even depthens the orange, which no other wax has done before. I'm solely using the NXT line from now on... It's done some very nice things for my paint and that's with Texas sun/heat/blah blah blah..

Very nice.

i like the meguiars tech wax $15 dolarrs a bottle has a faint lime smell to it IMO i love the way it makes my vivid yellow p5 shine

i guess im gonna be forking out 15 bucks for the Mequairs NXT... i like the regular cleaner wax.. but doesnt last too long.

15? I can get it locally for like $6. :) Gotta love new product sales... The whole line is $6.98 for a while. W00T

all the meguiars I've used last like, 2-3 weeks. It just washes off

NXT the same? Of course we get a lot of rain here.

I tried the NXT stuff and it was good, its only been on for a few days...so we'll see how it lasts. But it was easy to apply and looks great..

I wash my car weekly if not sooner and strip/clay/polish/glaze/wax my car every second wash now. I normally don't keep wax on the car long enough to see how long it lasts but the NXT has already beat Zymol and Mothers.

Whats a good wash to strip the wax? And is it bad to strip and rewax often, or is it worse to keep adding layer on top of layer of wax...?

Just curious, because Mazda paint isn't exactly the best...

you should layer most waxes. It helps provide protection against small scratches, s*** getting on paint and so on. most waxes look a lot better after a few coats. There is no need to strip/clay bar very often. once maybe twice a year tops. The more you touch your car, the more damage your doing to your paint...ie swirls.

Zaino appeals to me for a few reasons. It is meant to be layered on top of each other, and it REALLY LASTS apparantly. not 3-4 weeks like most crap waxes. You also just wipe it on in thin layers, and there's no need to wax of the infamous white paste of other waxes. No sore arms from 3 hours of rubbing the car to death. Mother, meguiars, all have the white paste crap. Jesus christ, 3 weeks after applying mothers, I'm still taking little white lines off the car. Zaino, apparanty has none of that s***. With the new ZFX accelerator, you can do many coats per day. no more waiting 2-3 hours for one coat to dry. no need for a garage any more etc

I was sold on getting it until I started reading about NXT. Then I started reading bad things about NXT. It is really just a fancy cleaner wax, and most users I've talked to say they get 3 weeks avg out of it. so yeah, it's cheaper, but your applying 3 times as often. Then there's contradicting stories about it. Some say it is an abrassive, some say it's not. Some say it hides metallic flakes more then other waxes, some say it's great for showing the metallic off.

I've been reading on autopia for a while, and there are so many contradicting stories it's confusing.

I think it is better for you to use Z5. Z5 works much better with darker color, it will prevent swirl mark. but in the website, they suggest to put one or more coats of Z2 after Z5. It will make the wax last longer. It is your call.

I have a silver car so I am only using Z1, Z2 and Z6, bunch of Z6 :)
