You know you are driving an MSP when...

I'm happy to hear that people are having zero issues with their MSPs. I'm an adult, who drives like an adult, and still this car fails.

When I was young and stupid, I beat the piss out of many a car, and they held up in every way, much better than this car that I granny drive today. I can't argue with other peoples experiences w/ the MSP, but mine has been horrible so far, and has nothing to do with MY driving, I can assure you of that.

im not saying it was YOUR driving.. i have no beef with you or your driving.. im sorry.. but your SELLER beat the hell out of that car WAAAY more than he ever told you! the problems like you have usually come after careless neglegent driving from previous owners.. not current ones.. i am 25 now.. got it when i was 21.. the previous owner of my car was 21 when he got rid of it.. AGE has nothing to do with how a person drives or the issues a car has..

FOR people looking to buy one.. heed this warning.. dont buy a stupidly modified car and expect it to be a perfect vehicle.. buy one closer to stock.. and it should be better for reliability... do research.. find out the vin number.. check the production number off the vin.. and look into forums like this for issues/mods/problems that the member had with the car.. look at the posts that member made.. you can pretty well tell how someone treats a car by their posts on an online forum.. that will give you the best overall view of the cars past... it shows things that Carfax/auto check does not!

you know your driving a msp when you put a mfactory differential only to have gears shred a month later.....

Did all of that. I looked at EVERY one of his posts on here, and on other forums, interrogated him multiple times, and have maintenance documents.... And when I say "beat" on a car, I don't mean somebody boosted it hard on to the highway, or did some spirited runs....that's to be expected, and is a lot different than some clown dumping the clutch at every light, dive bombing into corners and matting it on the way out, over revving...etc.

The things that have failed on my car, are not items that would be too directly affected by really rough driving.... This is what I'm saying. Age has plenty to do with how someone drives a car, well, maturity does, and usually that comes with age. We can say that my car got beat all day, but when it comes down to it, it's like I said before, that the only part that broke was the PAR tranny, and that had a whole different reason. I know what you're saying, but the fact remains that there is a s*** ton of people on here that have the same issues day in and day out, stock or modded, it's undeniable....

You know you're driving an MSP when you're sitting at a light, the car starts idling funny, and your wife, who's not even remotely mechanically inclined and knows next to nothing about cars, looks over and says, "I think your EGR valve is acting up again..."

True story.

^^Yeah that, or it happens wayy to often not to. I'm in the same boat and it's quite depressing.
