As far as the KIA, its not bad for a KIA. (flame) Very similiar looks to the P5. I like the pedals. LOL Funny thing is I bet its a bit faster than the P5. (drive)

Yes, it does resemble our P5 alot. But I think it look nice. Another car from KIA that I like beside Sportage.

Faster or not, I think I still wouldn't buy a KIA (Killer In Action).
I would rather buy a 2nd hand Corolla instead if I couldn't not afford cars other than KIA.

the kia spectra5 is pretty much a carbon copy...it even has the same sized engine, transmission tunnel, door panels/handles, the headlights look like they were just enlarged. i think mazda should sue for infringement. and the name ?? come on, protege5, spectra5 ? gimme a break

*i hope no one buys this car. kia thinks they can steal the wagon market with this car, so i hope mazda is prepared to do some battle w/ the mazda3 hatch

that stoopid Kia is a slap in the face of Mazda.....I cant believe they made the damn thing so similar....and while it does look alot alike, they definitely didnt get the "look" down anywhere near as good as the mazda....that car still looks like a Kia, while I think and alot of other people have said my car looks like an infinity at first glance.....if I bought that car, every time I saw a p5 come by I would probably have to duck down to avoid the hummiliation.....even if that car is slightly faster, it doesnt look nearly as good and Im sure it would never give you the sense of pride the p5 does....I dont care if Im driving next to a mercedes, my car is still cooler than yours....if I ever see one of those Kia's Im going to remove its valve stems on the spot(headshake

lol, don't take it so personally. Certain Lexus owners probably say the exact same things about the P5.

I do agree that it seems to be a blatant rip off but what are you going to do about it. You so mad about KIA ripping off Mazda, what about Mazda saying screw the P5 and only building it for a few years then abandoning us. Mazda could've done so much more with the P5 but it seems like it was the bastard child of the Protege family. If you're gonna get mad, be made at the whole aftermarket community for taking so long to make parts for our car and still after 3 years theres still allot parts that aren't available for our car that you can get on so many other cars. Example: HID headlights

Yeah there is some anger but not from me. I've just come to except the fact that the P5 doesn't get much love out there except from P5 enthusiasts. Whats really bad is I have used to have several Hondas. last one was a Del Sol and it was the bastard child of the Honda family. Not as many parts for it readily available when compared to other hondas. Now in the same boat with the P5.
Only 2 options, 1)deal with it and do what you can or 2) get rid of P5 and get another car like averyone else has.

I personally like being a bit different from everyone else and thats why I have the P5. It has some serious potential, just need deep wallets.

That is one reason I'm actually glad they are out of production...the fewer on the road, the more unique the P5 is. I still encounter many people who do not even know what the car is and compliment it. Hell, I didn't really notice them untill last October when I bought my first one.

there are SOOOOO many P5 around here it's not even funny. i was glad when i bought mine about 2 years ago, there weren't that many. It took about a year (last summer) and they were everywhere. i guess its because dealers were trying to get rid of the stock and pretty much gave them away.

there are about 7 of em in the parking lot where i work ... out of maybe 100 cars.

there are SOOOOO many P5 around here it's not even funny. i was glad when i bought mine about 2 years ago, there weren't that many. It took about a year (last summer) and they were everywhere. i guess its because dealers were trying to get rid of the stock and pretty much gave them away.

damn, i hardly see any around here. as far as white goes, i think i own the only white p5 in kenosha. i saw one the other day, but it had IL plates
