That's pretty bad, I'm gonna check my engine mounts this weekend when I cleaned my CAI filter. I give my car hell probably once a day atleast
nutari, i thought the recall was for the engine mount bolt itself and not the mount. what years was the bolt recall supposed to be for? and the bolt from the recal is that the bolt that the motor mount is held in with (the vertical one)???
I wasn't sure how this would happen if the recal is for a completely different bolt than the one that appears to have broken on your car.

This is for the upper left motor mount. If you want to check that you have the updated bolt, remove the battery box and you will see the bolt. It should have a "10" on the head. If it has "8", it needs to be updated.so if i go and look at my door sill and confirm the production date of my car, if it is AFTER that date of May 19, 2007 then the bolt should have been fixed on my model then? Mine is a 2008 model tho i know they were mad ein 2007 I am just unsure of the production date. But as long as it is after may 17th then the bolt should have been fixed or the newer better bolt was put in then right?
and is this the bolt that goes vertically though the rear motor mount that we are all replacing?

Someone has a beefier mount out now but I can find the thread showing it or who sell it.
Anyone know?
After a certain production date, the high strength bolt became standard. Before that it should have been replaced under recall.ah ok, so it has nothing to do with the actual production date of the car then right? And the motor mount bolt from the bottom is not one that is affected at all? Is there only 1 bolt under the battery for this?
I had 08 speed 3 sport put 8,000 miles no problem, traded it in for a 09 speed 3 GT now 1,300 miles later my motor mount failed
