I know how you feel. I was parked at Lake Braddock High School, to run at the track (do it everyday). One particular day it was full of cars from all the soft ball people practicing. While running at the track (far end) I hear my alarm go off, but I thought it was someone else. I finish my 2 miles (I was finishing my last lap) and did my stretches and go down to my car. I look all over and didn't see anything. I go home and then a gave it another once look over, and I notice 2 big gashes on the back of the trunk, bottom right of the license plate, where the bend goes out. I just got furious about it. I was about to go and key every single soft ball players' car there.
The thing was, it was not a car, it was deep enough in the middle of the trunk, that no type of car would make that type of scratch; it was either someone was leaning on the car or was fooling around and hit it with either a bat or something sharp. Luckily I was able to cover it nicely with the replacement paint Mazda gave me. But still, that was not cool, I was parked behind a blue STI too.
You try your hardest to park where no one will mess with your car (end parking lot or far away), yet someone takes the time and mess with your car. Not cool. After that day, made me contemplate on installing multiple cameras to make sure I have a mug shot on whoever decides to mess with my car, then instead of reporting it, I'm just going to do everything I can to make their lives a living hell, make them suffer.
Sorry for the vent, but I love my car dearly, and it just sickens me when people don't haev the consideration to leave people's things alone, whether it's jealousy or they just don't care.
