I need this badly and will be willing to drive to TX if I can get a place to stay while I'm there. I'd love to see my car be able to fully use all of the mods I've done to it.
You can crash at my place. (evil)

Hit up the Tejas section.

If this happens, keep me updated! A chance to spend a day with BEGI is a chance of a lifetime. Really great people.

Also, I'd love to watch.

What is taking you so long???? We have a couch here! j/k
Give me a call - we'll see what we can do.

That link relates to a ford focus. Not applicable to Mazda's, Subaru's, or Mitsubishi's. I don't think the Xede has been installed on a Ford Focus.

WHy does this system cost more?? Let's put it together FOR GOOD.

1. XEDE's known quality for making hardware. Look at the top teir tuners that use them.

2. Protegegarage's known customer service. Can you get that with e-manage?

3. Bell Eng. known quality in the aftermarket. Is there a better FMU on the market? Who makes the best IC cores? Who wrote the book on turbocharging and tuning? Why question the hardware he chooses to support?

4. Vishnu is a top teir evo tuner and they use these on their insane cars. Nuff said.

it adds up. You get what you pay for. Cobb is a great tuner but make sure you're comparing apples to apples. Not apples to buttholes.

I've signed up to be the Speed6 stock (bolt ons) and ATP turbo install guinea pig. We're working out the details but hopefully by Feb 1 we'll have a 350+ WHP Speed6 rolling!
:)

pending this tuners ability I'll also be running the gt30 turbo. I'm shooting for first daily driven 400awhp 6. see you at the dyno.

Well it is my wife's DD, and I have the 3071R sitting in a box so I guess we'll see who gets there first....
:D
I'm more interested in low 12's/high 11's on street tire.

just the turbo or the whole kit? The turbo doesn't do much good if you can't plumb it up fully.

I'm going to max out the stock turbo first before I bother with a larger one. I also want to get more familiar with the software before just throwing a bigger blower at it.

Then you'll get bored with that much power and spend $2500 more on the ATP Turbo kit... Then HELLO traction problems (that's why I sold my SRT-4).
:)

Official update from Corky Bell

Systems will be shipping out VERY SOON. These will not be Plug and play. These will be wire-in and only require a minimal amount of work more than a plug and play system. I was told about 6 wires only.

They are currently trying to source harnesses to make the system plug and play but wont be working on it till mid January.

So, it comes down to.. How dedicated are you?

I know im getting on the first batch...

I'm dedicated enough to drive to Texas, drop off my car and leave it there for a couple of weeks for prototyping and tuning.
:D

What is the smog legality of this mod?

If not legal here in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia...

Can it be removed for maint and smog checks without a lot of time or effort? We have to do these very 24 months...

I also heard the CX7 is top speed limited by software, if this is true will this eliminate that limitation?

Regards,
Darryl

the car will not throw check engine lights and will therefore be emissions legal pretty much anywhere. once it is plug and play it is possible to swap in and out with ease. wired in we can set it up for you to be as easily removable with about 20 more minutes of work.
