XEDE Engine Management System Available Soon!!!

given what we've seen on the speed6, i say hitting a 50hp gain is pretty easy if boost is held to redline. i would hope that holdign boost for another 1k as well as some tuning should net those gains for sure. will have to wait to see the dyno if that's where most of the gains are.

....and i'm down for some test fitting it on a little 6i as well, i have a few mods that might like this

What do you mean it didn't like it at first? Did you have to do something to make it operate correctly?

Also, I heard that you can only reflash the ECU a certain amount of times. Does this actually reflash the ECU, or does it override the ECU?

There were TONS of factors of why it wasn't working properly. I was the first one to purchase a BEGI "fabricated" XEDE and the most important wire was missing, my boost. I was running stock boost then we figured out what the deal was and it jumped me up to 10psi.

Also, I was having idleing issues. I was open loop at idle and I'd sit there and my car would die. My car is the only one they know of that took the system like a sickness. Everyone else (MSM's) are super happy with their purchase.

It'd take days to explain exactly what was going on but we finally fixed it. There were more things that were wrong but it obviously wasn't the ems that was causing it my car was just not taking it nicely. BUT it's all better and runs like a champ.

It's a easy system to tune and I found it worth my money.

Overrides ECU.

Nice...Any chance this will be able to work (adapted) on the N/A Mazda 6s???

So far, there has not been a CEL on the MS3. The Xede controls the fueling, boost, timing and O2 signal.

Hi there Steph. Been watching this progress from the other 3 forum. I'm very excited (Ask Ken) about this. Hoping its released very soon.

$$$

Why is this thing so expensive?

Greddy E-Manage - $300
APEX'i AFC Neo - $350
Greddy E-Manage Ultimate - $510
Hondata S300 - $590
Cobb AccessPORT v2 - $695

This isn't a standalone replacement unit, right? Also, does it come with software for modifying the base maps (ignition, timing, fuel, etc...) and datalogging?

to my best knowledge, the emanage and apexi lines do not truly work on these ECUs. unless someone has proven otherwise. for the sake of argument lets say that they do;

the emanage is fuel only as is the apexi. the cobb, the emanage ultimate, emanage and apexi do not control or alter boost levels, at least not out of the box. i don't even know why hondata is listed here.

the system has the ability to switch from open to closed loop. this feature alone is something few others can claim to. i'm sure stephanie will chime in on some of the benefits XEDE offers that the others do not. and yes, base maps for fuel and timing are included.

I need this badly and will be willing to drive to TX if I can get a place to stay while I'm there. I'd love to see my car be able to fully use all of the mods I've done to it.
