I was actually gonna buy a new set of p5 lights and sell my current ones to you if you were interested after all was said and done, but Matt made me realize I can just buy sedan lights and take the lenses, instead of buying another set of $400 p5 lights LOL
 
Yeah, the only important part is the lens unless you find some beat up ones for dirt cheap then just do what I'ma do, swap lens from a new light.

Too bad I sold my p5's lights, I would of been glad to sell em to you. I only got $100 or so for em.
 
even if the lense is knicked up... I can do a full recondition. I'd rather put the work in than pay a stupid amount for em. I may try doing this on a set of grand cherokee lights first... seeing as I'll have a spare set soon. lol
 
Picked up my gaskets today, then went to the welder. He hadn't even started so I guess I'll get that back next week.

Talked to the engine shop, he told me the crankshaft is coming back from the grinder on monday and some misc parts from mazda will be arriving as well, should be ready to be picked up by tuesday or wednesday. Hopefully install will be going down thursday :D
 
Still haven't got my cold pipe back yet, slacker.

I'm getting real pumped about the car running again, man I miss it so much. If every goes as planned, I'll be breaking her in by driving up to vegas to meet up with big lou next weekend (2thumbs)

Anyone know which gauge pod is the single din but only holds two gauges, not three? I can't remember but I know fish has one.

matt? im the one who told him lol i did it to mine already with my brothers lights
 
Idk why I didn't think of it myself, I know the damn things are the same shell, minus the different bulb holders in the rear, so duh the lens is interchangeable. (freak)
 
Oh yeah. Looks like I'm gonna do a retrofit for around $400 and sell the sedan lights back for cheap so I'll actually spend less than that.

Yes... it is available from the ex-vendor who is not to be named(rules)
 
Talked to the motor shop yesterday, they are still waiting on some parts from mazda before they can put the motor back together, might not be delivered until next week so I guess no protege for another week (unamused)
 
I am doing a 03 conversion on my 02 protege dx, i finally bought the wire harness that plugs into the fogs, the p5/mp3 fogs,and switch. when i tried to hook it up they wont turn on i checked the fuses under the hood for the fogs, checked the bulbs to make sure they werent burned out, and a few other things i just cant find out what the problem is! if anyone else has added the fogs to a dx/lx without them let me know if you had any problems, or if you have any clue why they wont turn on.
