Day 1:
I had the motor the day before but when I got to the car, they called me and needed me to return the motor so they could double check something. They were unsure if they had put the main caps on the windage tray backwards. I picked it up the next morning. It took practically all day to swap all the s*** over from my motor to the p5 motor, we started dropping it in after nightfall, all the mounts were lined up, but it just got too cold to work any longer so we stopped.
Day 2:
Everything went pretty smooth, got everything ready to go by 1:30 or so. I was hoping to be done before 1 because the motor shop requires I go to them once the motor is installed to make sure I did it right so they'll follow their warranty but they close at 1 on saturday. She ran and everything seemed great, until we went to bleed the clutch. We were bleeding it for 20min or so and nothing was happening, my god father said we might of put the throw out bearing in wrong. So pissed off, I said **** it til tomorrow cause I needed to meet up with my brother big lou in vegas.
Day 3:
After I quick trip to vegas and a short night of sleep, we started to pull the transmission off to check the throw out bearing. That took a pretty long time cause we were fighting with the rear motor mount bracket. Once we finally got it, we found that you'd have to be an idiot to put it backwards cause it was so obvious that its wrong the other way. We then started to put everything together and used a bleeder kit instead of the pump the pedal way and what do you know, it worked. The whole day clouds were building so it was a race against the rain. We were almost done when it started pouring down.
She is now back on the road and sounds amazing! Of course, there is somethings that need to be fixed like the gas pedal has too much slack, thinking its the weak worn out throttle cable, and the speedo isn't working, probably left the sensor unplugged, but its sooo nice to have her back
