xDJ DUBx's 03.5 Pure White LX-T

I meant about working there, not taking your parts there.

So what are you going to be doing? Office work, bodyman, preper, helper?

I'm gonna be learning everything, step by step. Not sure where I'm starting first but I know tomorrow I'm gonna help him reassemble a 57 he finished painted a few days ago.

Greddy Full Auto Turbo Timer arrived

Got the TT in, pretty smooth install. I just gotta redo the VSS wire since the how to was so clueless on that wire.

"Tape the GREEN wire with the RED stripe, this is the VSS cable"

Wtf? No pin number? dude, there was like 4 or 5 different green with red wires.

i used the how to, no issues. find my couplers and I'll even pull the ECU off the floor to check the pin number.

The timer will go up while driving the car and go down if I sit still but it won't tell me my speed.

According to my wiring diagram, its either pin 28(Vehicle Speed Output[Speedometer]) or pin 48(Engine Speed[Tachometer])

i don't believe our output is correctly calibrated for the timer, either that or I just don't know how to calibrate it correctly. you'd want speedo, not tach.

I'll check what pin I tapped into tomorrow and hook it to the speedo if it isn't already hooked, if it doesn't work, oh well.

correct me if I'm wrong, but they only read in KM/h anyway... so.... unless you plan a long trip to canadaland... what good is it? as long as it shuts the car off if you try to move it on the turbo timer, mission accomplished.

It's just nice to have all the available features working, thats all.

I also think my speedo is off by 4mph or so.

I'll be going 55mph but my gps will say I'm going 59mph. Maybe cause I'm rocking 17" wheels where as the stockers are 15"?

Oh yeah, I also finally fixed the loose wire on my gauge faces. Everytime I'd hit boost or anything else that made the ride rough, the damn things would flicker like all hell. Made me sick to my stomach having a strobe light for gauges.

if you're running stock MSP sized tires, you'll read about 4% slow. Running your stock size tires, I read about 5% too fast. snow tires ftl.

Damn that much??? It shouldn't be that far off. My stockers are 15s too, but because of a bigger sidewall on the 15" tires, my overall circumference with my 205/40/17 right now is pretty close. Stock 15" was 195/55/15 IIRC.
