that really sucks, freakin state insurance commision....this state is full of scammers and the like...we end up paying! nuts man absoultely nuts!(blah)I'm actually going to switch to AAA to get a 5% discount...but 5% is chump change next to the 15% per point the f*ckin state tacks on. That surcharge will be the same for any provider.
5 yrs for me, NC here i come!!(yes)So sad indeed. Imagine if word got out. I mean sure many know, but I bet if you explained it like you did here...wow. I can't wait to get outa here.
I think I'm going to write a detailed letter...not sure who I'll send it to though. Maybe my state rep, maybe the newspaper. So sad indeed. Imagine if word got out. I mean sure many know, but I bet if you explained it like you did here...wow. I can't wait to get outa here.
I hope you put her as the primary on the Ford and you as the primary on the Pacifica...you'd save more that way I think.
Are you sure about that? Amanda wasn't bumped to the MS6 on our insurance. I am "primary" on the MS6 and "occasional" on the P5. She is the opposite. I don't think they can do that to you...if you claim to be primary on the Pacifica they can't pull the switcharoo just because they'll get more money out of you.wish you could but when the new rating system started, they take the person with the highest rating and rate the on the highest rated car in the house. the only way to aviod that would be to exclude them from driving the highest rated car.
I wanted to to this but the woman filed a report the minute she got home. Amanda also remembers her mentioning a previous accident which she never got fixed. Personally I think she got more fixed than this accident caused...but those records are sealed and we cannot find out how much they billed our insurance company. Besides, Amanda is way to by-the-book and until she saw the price increase on the insurance she would have never agreed to paying her out of our own pockets. She'll think twice now.If you had the oppurtunity, you could have opted to settle this without the insurance company. The first time I had a fenderbender (that I was not at fault) the person at fault agreed to pay the quoted amount for the repair.
Granted it was about $500, and I had something to lose if he refused, but he kept his word and it worked out well for the both of us.
Are you sure about that? Amanda wasn't bumped to the MS3 on our insurance. I am "primary" on the MS6 and "occasional" on the P5. She is the opposite. I don't think they can do that to you...if you claim to be primary on the Pacifica they can't pull the switcharoo just because they'll get more money out of you.
MA itself doesn't surcharge you, you get points on your license, and then the insurance company ups your rates. Since MA sets the exact rates and the insurance companies are not allowed to charge any more or less, this is the only way that you get an insurance hike as a result of the accident.Am I getting this right? The friggin STATE OF MA tacks on a surcharge when you get in an accident??? WTF do they have to do with it???!!! Nanny Bastards. You people need another tea party up there. This time throw a Lexus in the bay!! That'll get their attention!
