Looking for a stock rear deck mount subwoofer off of a MP3/MSP. Got an 01 ES with the fixins for it, so i'm lookin to outfit it. Thanks!

the sub is really not a good piece... you should buy an upgraded version. If you are looking for the mounting brackets and the sub and amp rack that would also be helpful to put in the thread. If you search msp sub upgrade or something like that or just look around the msp audio section you will find loads of sub upgrade info that will be very useful

I agree with Mutmatt. A good upgrade that fits perfectly and sounds awesome is the JL 8W3v2-D2 .. make sure it's the 2Ohm D2 version if you wanna hook it up to the MSP Kenwood Amp. Hook it up in series (not parallel) and it's probably one of the best little subs you can have in that tiny little enclosure.

i'm still looking to upgrade the sub and amp as a combo because currently i have neither in the car and i want some bass lol I considered doing 6X9's but i think i will just do a sub/amp combo with the stock setup because 6X9's just won't cut it. Any ideas? /threadjack

got it

I have the whole set up I will sell to you for 150 plus shipping! If you are interested just p.m me an offer and we will go from there with posting pics and stuff. Thanks

i have a brand new never installed MSP amp rack the sub and amp brand new never used straight from mazda. pm me if your interested.

got one sitting under my bed.
used for 4 months.
works perfect.

AND i have something noone else does - a full OEM Mazda wire harness that goes from the battery, to the headunit, then all the way back to the trunk deck.
harness has all the positive and negative terminals, grounding points, RCA plugs, and shielding.

i'll throw in the harness for free if you buy the deck.this will be a complete plug and play kit for any protege.

$100 plus shipping.

btw the mp3 setup was totally different form the msp, the msp had an amp and sub rack mounted under the rear deck with no speakers while the mp3 had a 100w kenwood powered bass tube (10") and two speakers in the rear deck which is why the mp3 did not have rear door speakers and the msp's do. (i have owned both cars)
