I have to agree with circle 9 these prices are really high, almost all of the ones previously sold are around 400-450, asking 600 for one is aoutrageous since it is used, it would be better off to get a new one.

I'll sell mine for cheaper than any of the above posted prices + shipping. Ill have pics up friday night.

i think 400-450 would be a decent price for these intercoolers. Anyone willing to lower their prices?

yeah totally agree, the price I put up is rather high. But hey I need the money, and if someone wants it bad enough at that then let it be. chippy sent you a PM, I know you're interested but check with madtig's price first before you commit to my price...

I wasn't really too eager to let my ETS and SU boost tubes anyway...so chippy, if you can find it cheaper GO for it man!

So there...i'm not trying to rip anyone off with my price. wait for someone else's price and shop around, but if you have money to burn and this economy isn't hurting your pockets and you want mine, then by all means send your paypal payment (naughty)

Until then, cheers to anyone trying to sell/buy an upgraded TMIC

The 3.5 ETS is only really worth it if you have an upgraded turbo. IMO I will be getting the SU TMIC when its time, I just prefer the quality better.

haters! but what goes around comes around. i was hating on a filter sale the other day and look what happens. lol free enterprise baby!!!

I have the 3.5 and as long as you don't use their stupid plate (which smacked the plastic trim on the firewall even with my SU motor mount), it's fine. big jump in power... it does rub on the ducting attached to the hood, but that's what happens when you start modding cars. I think the 3.25 would clear, but I can't say for sure. All the same, I just bought the Cobb front mount. I think it will work better for what I do. I've loved the ETS though! If you can get one for a good price, DO IT!

here's the pics.

black_ninja that looks nice. I wish you price was a little lower! Are you using AP or Dashhawk to monitor anything?

shoot me an offer chippy and I'll think about it. Like I said, I'm reluctant to downgrade to a stock TMIC. I definitely miss the power. and no, i haven't purchase anything to monitor it....mayeb i should get the dashhawk

I had the same issue with the firewall when I first installed mine. I trimmed the shroud a lil and haven't had the issue since. AND yes the shroud still makes perfect contact with the hood duct. I love this tmic but I just recieved my tax return and want the "show" quality of a FMIC haha. I'm selling her for $350 + shipping. 3.5" ETS TMIC fully polished. I'll post her fri or sat.

as long as everything looks good I call first dibs on madtig's tmic

that's what i wanted to know about the 3.5". I ahve stock mounts in mine and would hate it to get damaged if i banged hard through the gears

I've had the 3.5 installed with the stock mount and with the SU mount, and I can tell you this:

stock mount:
Every time I started my car up, the intercooler rattled against the ducting attached to the hood... loudly... like, loud enough to hear over the car starting. Same thing happened when I shut the engine off. Also, if you run with the plate attached (which I did, BRIEFLY) it will destroy the plastic cowling attached to the firewall.

SU mount:
Definitely didn't solve the firewall cowling issue for me. and it still rubs the plastic hood ducting, although it's quieter about it.

The verdict:
I love the intercooler, but for me it worked best without the plate. plenty of air was going over the intercooler and it was doing its job, and it solved the banging around issues. If you think that it's less efficient, then try to run my time with my mods. that was without the plate attached. if you think it effected my time by even a 10th of a second, I want summa what you're smoking. :)

if I may just add my 2cents in here with regards to the plate...I think the plate is necessary because of two reasons. One it helps keep the incoming air directed to the intercooler, and two, I think it helps absorb some of the heat from the engine and turbo, instead of the intercooler absorbing all of the heat. ...just my thoughts, nothing scientifically proven. (cheers)
