worthless car wax

To much labor to apply.

That s*** is WAY OVERATED. I have used it, and Meguirs NXT works just as well and doesn't require any of the work that Zaino does.

Too much labor to apply? Are you kidding me? This stuff wipes off like dust. The ONLY time it will take a while is the inital prep. But even then, it's almost an order of magnitude less labor than a traditional system.

hey no pain no gain... I have worked for professional detail shops doing work on ferraris, lambos, and the like... and no wax can match up to it in any category... We used zaino on those cars and got amazing results, better yet the owners were all left speechless and brought more buisness in than any advertising campaign done by the store combined.

If you figure it takes 3 hours to wash and wax a car and that wax will wear off in about a month (gold class meguiars) and it took me 12 hours to do my zaino application but mine will last 9 months... who is actually doing more work here?

Notice the reflection ont he side of my car with this bad lighting, a white car in the reflection and the horrible quality of the picture? Thats after 6 coats... imagine 20 for a minute...

sorry to say but nxt blows balls. The image is nowhere near as nice as with zaino. I put 1 coat of that on last semester b/c I ran out of Zaino and I gave it to a friend as soon as I finished. NXT is still harder to remove and doesn't smell or look as nice as when I have zaino on. Zaino is definitely not overrated. Only with zaino have I been able to reproduce mirror like imagery and the feel of the car that is smoother than a baby's bottom not to mention that bird droppings fell on my car and the rain washed it right off or that bumper stickers just peel right off my car. (some1 tried to put 1 on my car and failed)

Zaino = teh win. When I did my car I only put 1 coat on then I had to go on a road trip that weekend, so I figured I'd just let it be for a couple months until I could strip it with a claybar and start again. I'm gonna go for probably 15-18 coats this time.

Yeah, my bad. I didn't look at it long enough I guess. It is just the resolution of the pic.

Crispix, NuFinish is a paste just like most waxes, it's just called a polish instead of a wax, although I dont know what the difference is.
On the bottle it says that it doesn't contain any actual "wax." It's just a silicone paste to protect you car from moisture and rust. (I think).

I waxed the wife last night.

I wax my pubic region on a regular basis.

My car has a lot of swirl marks and, unfortunately, several minor scratches (most from before I owned the car). Would I be better off to have it power polished to try and reduce/eliminate most of this before using the Zaino? Or will the Zaino alone reduce this??

I would have to see the car before saying for sure.

It's odd, I have a spot on my bumper that was struck by a car. After applying Zaino on it all last year, I can't even find the mark anymore. But, i have a few scratches on the roof that I can never get rid of. Sometimes, wet sanding is the only way to go to get rid of the bad stuff, but I would only do it as a last resort.

Z5 is good for filling in minor swirls, but don't expect to see them go away after one coat. You'll need quite a few.

I use a little bit of 3m swirl remover before I use zaino, and use zaino to fill it on. You have to be careful what you use under Zaino as it won't bond to just anything.

Gotta go...I'm actually putting on my Zaino today. I'm on the 3rd coat now.

1 oz should do 3 coats btw.

^^ ditto... I would do a lot of Z5 coats as a base (3 or 4 at leaswt) and then start on the Z2's...

the good thing about z5 for covering fine scratches is that it is not going to wash off in a months time or less like meguiars products do.

scratchx is ******* crap. First time it rains, all the stuff washes off.

I use meguires gold class and find it's really smooth. i wax it every month or so, no becuase i have to but because It's routine. I like the shine to it aswell. a mirror finish.
Yup...this stuff is the shizzy for rizzy!
Meguiars and mothers ALL the way...

havent taken out a loan yet to buy some Zaino (heh) but so far.. mcguires NXT is the best ive tried..

I'll never use mothers again. I used it for years. Always preferred it over the meguiars products. Lasted longer as well. I used the 3 step stuff, prewax, glax, and carnuba. Stuff was a b**** to put on, and my arms would be killing me afterwards. not to mention I'd go through a box of cloths trying to get the stuff off the car. Lets not forget, the more you touch the car, the more swirls you get, and I found Mothers a pita to get off.

I did 3 coats of Zaino yesterday. Used one polish cloth, and I did it with a flu/temp and still never got tired. Takes 10-15mins to apply a coat, and I usually let it sit for about 30 mins in between each coat depending on how warm it is. The joy with Zaino is you can let it sit forever and it only gets better and easier to take off.

I laugh at people who think Zaino is $$$. Lets take mothers. You have to buy the prewax, maybe claybar, sealer and glaze, and then the carnuba. I think the grand totoal was around 70-80 bucks Canadian before cloths, and applicators, tire foam/gel etc. I paid 127 for my Zaino kit, got two clay bars, came with applicators, detail spray that smells good enough to eat, and I'll get two years out of it easily, and I don't have to apply Zaino every month. Not to mention that it will actually cover scratches almost permanently, I don't wash the car half as much anymore, and my paint looks gorgeous, no major swirls and everyone that touches is amazed at how smooth it is.

anyways, I'm starting to sound like a commercial, and I hate that.
