WOW. I have never used anything but Meguires on my car. I love their products. I recenty went from their Gold Class to their NXT stuff and I love it still even more. Its rained like hell here in Florida and she still shines, the water beads up and rolls right off. Havent gotten to wax or wash her in 2 weeks since all the rain we've gotten.

Zaino is teh SHIZIT!

Once you do it, you will never, ever, go back to a traditional wax again. The shine is 10x's better, the UV resistance is 100x's better, and the 3D deepening effect on the paint is amazing!

I will post up some pics of the beads on the Zaino compared to my hood (which has a fresh coat of meguiars still on it). You wont belive the difference.

Oh yea, did I mention an application of it will last 9 months and still be as protective as the day you put it on?

The initial prep and application takes a long time (plan to spend all day to do it right), but maintainence is quick and easy.

Initial prep is:
1. Wash car with Dawn to strip off old wax
2. Claybar
3. Wash again with car wash soap
4. Several coats of polish, with the gloss enhancer spray between coats

Maintenence:
Gloss enhancer works great every other day or so..takes less than 5 minutes
Wash the car once a week
Apply another coat of polish every 2-3 weeks

Your car will always shine....Zaino is worth every penny. And even though you pay $90 for the kit, it lasts a long time (over a year)

To much labor to apply.

That s*** is WAY OVERATED. I have used it, and Meguirs NXT works just as well and doesn't require any of the work that Zaino does.

not sure if that's orage peel or just a low res picture making it seem that way.

Yellow is hard color to get shiney so nice job.

I wanted to try NXT. Heard lots of good things about it, but I couldn't get it here.

Personally, I'm never useing anything besides Zaino ever again.

I'm really behind this year with waxing and s***. Had some minor surgery a few weeks ago that has kept my from being able to move much. And I am on my 4th weekend with a damn flu. I said screw it today, and went out and clayed the car. Tomorrow I'll apply 3 coats of z5. Luckily with this wax, even with the flu it isn't much work to put on and take off so it's not hard.

I'll say one thing though. This was my first spring cleaning with the zaino on the car over the winter. now, my car was not washed from October to April. Last coat of Zaino was applied in late Sept. Just can't wash the car here in the winters, too damn cold. I usually try to grab someone's garage from time to time, but this year I put all my faith on the 12-15 coats of zaino on the car throughout the summer. And I put more kms on the car this winter then any other winter , and this winter was horrible for dirt and crap on the roads. So I was expecting when I did my spring cleaning of the paint this year to have hours and hours of claying, and removing tar and other grime off the paint. When I used to use mothers, spring cleaning was a b****.

The damn paint was still smooth!!! Yeah, i had the usual winter grime on there, but nowhere near as much, and what was on there came right off with no hard scrubbing at all. I ******* love Zaino.

Bit of advice for those ordering Zaino though. The kit will last you two years. I went crazy last year playing with it, and still have lots left. But, the one thing will need more of is the detailing spray, and car wash. Double up on it, it's no more $$$ then off the shelf crap. don't let the prices of zaino scare you at all. You only need to use very little amounts of any of the waxes, sprays and so on to get excellent results.

you can't get rid of orange peel without a great deal of work anyways. It's a factory defect, and it's on everything from econo cars to a benz. Not even wet sanding can get rid of it most of the time. Apparantly wet sanding can help, but not get rid of it.

It's a defect in the clear coat. You rarely see it on the top of the car, ie trunk, hood and roof. Most of the times it's on the sides of the car.

Think of an Orange Peel. It's not smooth, has bumps and pits in it. A reflection in your cars paint should be mirror like, with no flaws. If you have orange peel, and %80 of most cars do to some degree, then you'll notice the image is not perfect, and has bumps or distortions in it. I'll see if I can find a pic of it.

I still think your pic is a low res shot, and if you look at the lines of the hood around the outer edge, you can see that it is. It makes it look like orange peel.

Here's a shot. not the best shot to show it, but it's there. Look above the back wheel, you'll see the orange peel....bumps and distortions in the paint.

This guy used Zaino, and it's got that zaino shine to it which tends to hide orange peel some, but you can still see it.

Again, any mass produced car usually has orange peel.

Crapamoly this thread got long.

Update: I used NuFinish car "polish". I guess it's not wax. Anyway, 3 weeks now, and water is still beading off the car. heh. I said beading off.

how do you apply?? is it a "gel" you wipe on and let it dry? or you wax on/wax off?

Yeah, my bad. I didn't look at it long enough I guess. It is just the resolution of the pic.

Crispix, NuFinish is a paste just like most waxes, it's just called a polish instead of a wax, although I dont know what the difference is.
