I'd get new mounts, Rockauto has them for pretty cheap. It would suck if they started to go soon after changing the struts.

I have no idea, I'm pretty sure the stock struts are made by KYB. My brother bought a set of Monroe's cheapest struts and they're ok, a tad soft for my liking.

something must be different cause the mount for the kyb is like 57.99 where as the monroe is only 27.99 this sucks

You can't use a monroe mount with a KYB strut (I'm asking, I don't know)? $58 seems reasonable to me, I assumed those mounts were always around $70-$80.

Amazon has the KYB front strut mounts for $37 each and free shipping. They do not come with new dust boots, but all my dust boots were fine. The paint on the KYB mount is crap though, chips off super easy so they will start rusting pretty fast depending on where you live.

Good to know man, thanks!

ordered parts yesterday and they arrived today. i need to get wheel bearings and tie rod ends. does the bounce test still work for testing struts. i know mine are leaking so i guess i might as well change them but just wanna know for sure if they are bad
