Ah last time I checked RX8's weren't really in the "fast" category not that MSP's are in there stock. In fact they got giged for over inflating the HP numbers on them.

The auto is rated @ 197hp and the 6-spd is 238...plus you can't always base everything on HP numbers...Those RX8's don't have much torque either...

RX 8 is never intended to replace RX7. It's a sports car for people with family (4 doors theme). They don't have to come out with a turbo RX8 cuz they'll have a turbo rotary aka the next gen RX7 (?FE3?) And this car was tuned by factory under mazdaspeed badge. So what's wrong with a Mazdaspeed "economy beating a regular Mazda, it's a Mazdaspeed.

Mazda had to adjust the HP numbers because they overrated them...its at 238 now..not a big difference I guess. And I thought the MSP had some mods and was running 12psi...

He has a new flash which according to some dyno runs adds 10 WHP and on some dyno's 17 WHP + his is running 12 PSI.
Do the math pookey brain they aren't that far apart.

Arrghh... Crank HP is closer to 188 after the flash according to the dynos we have seen and that was not under even close to optimal pulls. Take into account that 12 PSI could possibly add 10-20 more and it gets much closer.
Then you have gearing, drivers, etc. etc.
