First of all, the RX-8 has a computerized break-in period. The RX-8 WILL NOT reach full potential hp until it passes X,XXX thousand miles.
Second of all, we all should know about the slight recall Mazda had. They stated that they will either buy back the RX-8 or give free service and accessories. The reason? Because the LIED about hp numbers.
Third of all, even if it was broken in, the RX-8 isn't THAT fast. Heck, I think its slow, especially for the class it's in. With his ECU flash and boosting 12psi, he should be over 200whp. Thats right around where the RX-8 dynos AFTER break-in.
So, I can easily believe him without thinking twice.
