I currently have my ProSport mechanical boost gauge wired to the F43 fuse (cigarette lighter) via a fuse tap. I chose that fuse because it is powered only when the ignition is on, which is what I needed/wanted for a gauge.
I recently bought a methanol injection kit. I am trying to figure out how to wire the controller and pump for power. I was wondering if I could tap into this same fuse, or if that is too much coming from one fuse spot? If it is too much, any suggestions on which fuse I could tap into for power for the pump and the progressive controller? I was hoping to wire it so that it would only be active when the ignition was on. I was worried that if I wired it to a direct power source (like the door lock fuse or to the battery itself) it might draw power constantly, draining the battery or doing damage to the unit.
Any input would really be appreciated.
