earlier in the year a few of us were discussing "to cover or not to cover" the black steelies that our snows are mounted on...I picked these up for 12 bucks...thoughts?
Well around here, if you got wheel covers on, every one knows it's because you must have some nice rims at home. And besides, it's a small town, everyone knows I got 17's at home nice and safe.
So, I got some covers for mine. Not proud of em, but around here, every car looks ugly in the winter. All the nice imports are driving around with hubs on.
I found when I put the back steelies on, the look pathetic. The hubs were actually an improvement.
Thanks Blue. I am debating on whether to put 17's back on today...its a bit early, but I miss being able to drive this baby the way it can be driven...snow wheels are about as responsive as an 80 yr old hip.
its been close to 60F the past few days and its killing me not being able to take it out for a "fun drive". Then again, I don't want to go and be stranded when we get a mid march storm...oh the decisions
I debated about getting wheel covers before I put my winter tires on. Decided to leave the black steel rims - I find the car looks sportier without the wheel covers; otherwise, it starts to look like the millions of small sedans (e.g. corolla?)
