winter tires F*CK!!!!!!

the p5 tires are FINE for winter. at least here they are. i spent 300 shipped for p5 rims AND tires last year and they took me through last chicago winter just fine. Whoever is having troubles with them either needs to stop driving like a retard or buy some real winter tires.

I like my winter wheels and tires. ;) Gunmetal 929 15" rims with Toyo Observe G-02's. I actually look foreward to putting them on in the winter!

here are my donnuts!
hey, you stole my idea for winter rims...idea stealer..lol. Yeah, I've had my "winter mags" on for a few weeks...right after I put them on, it snowed...didn't stick, but it did snow, so I felt ok for having the one so early. I also leave them on a and don't jump the gun too quickly, as these potenza's have the tendancy to suck in the snow, cause as 1000 threads a while back will state(and I'm sure more will come up this year), these are not winter tires...lol

That looks pretty badass....I may at some point decide to get 'winter rims', I mean, hell, they are on almost as long, if not longer than my summer rims, so why not. I'll prolly get them when my winter tires go bald, and then I'll get a slightly smaller wall, so I can get a slightly bigger rim, like a 16, instead of my 15inch steelies. so small, my car is actually lower in the winter..lol

dude ur winter mags are sick, id get those a size bigger, and add sum low profile tires to them, very slick!

hehe you try to drive through a quebec winter with those dunlops lol when it's -40 and 12" of snow ... lol i kept my dunlops on for a while when i had my P5 and was able to go through november/december with no problems, but as soon as the serious snow falls started in january ... forget it man

its not just knowing how to drive in snow, i couldnt even go over the small bump to get into my driveway. thats how bad snow/ice is here during winter

yeah, well, i know, i went through a remainder of a winter with the stock MSP potenzas. Snow or not, they sucked in the cold.

btw: it was 60 here the other day. in november. wtf? **** weather. i want snow.

Thanks, guys. =) I really do want to get a set like that, in 16 or 17's, but finding them has been a b****! Once I do get a nice set of summer rims, I think they'll look pretty nice. I'm planning on the Team Dynamics Racing Pro-Race 1's, in 17". But we'll see.

the stock potenzas are terrible .... as soon as it starts getting cold, you can forget about traction in the 3 first gears. i spin 3rd gear like nothing lol

im putting my winter tires on for the 1 or 2 weeks i have left with the car

I wanted it to snow too after i put on my winter tires..............the whole two minutes.

most likely in my driveway or backyard yes. i dont have a garage

spent too much money this year on the car to risk ruining something because of a stupid winter accident, + i save over 100$ / month on insurance even by adding my winter car to my insurance, save a s*** load of money on gas, save about 5 months worth of KMs (i do about 500km a week)

right now, with a full tank, i do approx 350km if i'm lucky. so i spend at least 60$ on gas / week. the winter car does 300km with its ~25L gas tank (regular 87 compared to 94 octane for the mazda)

it'll give me a chacne to bring my car to the garage and get the work done during the winter ... new turbo, internals, injectors .. etc

so all that made me decide to put it away
