Windshield rattle?

I've read before that there is a known problem of windshield rattle over a course of different temperatures. well i just got my car the other week and its been really cold the last 2 days. yesterday i noticed that there some kind of creak or rattle around the base of the windshield. i thought it was my window wipers hitting up against the glass but i guess not. is this the infamous windshield rattle issue? what do i do to fix it? gah help!?

lol 40 degrees would be a blessing for me. i'm in Maryland. its was mid 20s last night and its low 30s today. would you like to switch places? AHHAAH

Whats wrong with living in Florida? As for the rattle, I have some rattle coming from the front dash, which I don't have a clue where its coming from, and of course the seatbelt buckle driver side rattle.

my buckle doesnt rattle, my windshield doesnt rattle. i get vibs from my dogbone when i take off slowly in 1st. or in really low rpms. but tis jsut dash pieces vibing.

Hey Ragin, anyway you can post up all the service pages for the 07-08 Mazda 3 and MazdaSpeed3 like the one for the Cowl Noise. I realize there are probably quite a few but if you need somewhere to store them on an FTP or something let us know.

Mine did it from day 1, so those little flet pads were new. I put a little bead of silicon on each and the sound went away.

Yeah usually it goes away when the car warms up but not tonight at 16 whole degrees. I am going to print out that pic and bring it with me to see what Mazda says when the tech goes cnv for the 3rd time.

I wish I had access to all that information but I only had that one that I found on this site or another Mazdaspeed site. I just saved it on my computer because I figured that somebody would want it again in the future.

I just took mine in today to get that fixed. I had it in last week for it's first oil change and asked about the issue because I have noticed it too when it's cold outside. Took them a couple of days to get the part in. I'm pretty happy with my dealership. Paul at Courtesy has been very cool so far!

yeah i'm looking to take it in asap when my sales rep calls me. he was supposed to call me back like a couple days ago. hmm. should i give him good reviews on his customer feedback?! haha just kidding. thanks all for addressing this issue. i know it comes up all the time. Ms3 is still a sick car, btw, just got my TurboSmart Dual Port BPV going in tonight. looks vicious.

I've read the descriptions about removing the cowling to fix this, but I'll be damned if I can find any screws on it! Can anyone post a picture of how this thing is removed? I must be stoopid

Of course, it's 80 degrees today, but I'd still like to know in case we get one more cold spell!
