Window Problem from disconnecting batt?

I just recently bought my ms6 and decided to install my system today. While doing so I had to disconnect the battery for running a power wire to my amp, and after I noticed that from the drivers side all other 3 window switches dont work anymore, only the drivers side window. The others only work if you go over to them on each door and put them down. Also the auto down/up window feature doesnt work anymore either its like a standard up down window now. I was wondering if this has happend to anyone else other than me. The only thing I did was disconnect the power to the battery. I also noticed that I could actually hear the turbo spooling and also the BOV after I disconected it too, which is a good thing. I've only got 300 miles on it. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Oh yeah there's some little trick to letting the computer know about the windows and such. It happens all the time to Mazda6 people, and the fix is easy. I think it happens every time the battery is disconnected.

Congrats on the 6, it's a very nice car.

I'm sure a 6 owner will pop in any minute now (ok maybe not, it's almost 2am here on the east coast) to let you know the trick.

Yes it happenes everytime you disconnect the battery. You should be able to go to every window, put the window all the way down and all the way up a couple times and eveything should be working correctly after that. Thats all I had to do.

Steps to re-activating drivers side window functions:

1) go to each door induvidually and put the windows down from that door's window switch (when the windows are closed completely).

2) put that same window back up using the window switch and hold it until two clicks can be heard from the switch.*

you should now have full use of those windows @ the drivers seat.

* DO NOT interrupt the up/down motion of the window by letting go of the switch early. If this happens repeat the steps with the windows in the FULLY UP position.

This has to do with sensors for window position or something, right?

yes I believe its tied into the window safety system to auto down the windows in the event something is caught in the track.
