oh man - this is going to be great. Hell, I might even take a day off (well, a few hours anyway) to catch the dyno event.

Man, I am lucky that I can just get on line. I do not know all of these things like you guys. Thats why my website is 6 years old.

That's the link on their forum to the only mention I could find this guy making about the turbo protege. Apparently they used the e-manage. I left a comment in the thread - and I'm sending him a PM right now.
OK here is the deal with the 500whp Protege.

It never made anything. It lost a bearing on the dyno. They are guessing that it will make 375 to 400 whp. So this is why people need to be real sure of where they get their info from. I had a feeling based on Mattys track record that all was not right. Here is the post on the 500whp monster.

Umm 500whp, nope. We spun a bearing on the dyno so no good numbers yet. I suspect somewhere in the 375-400whp range at 22psi. We are still using the oem fuel system with upgraded pump and injectors. You cant go too high on the boost with this block because of the lateral cracking of the casting.

I guess we can still be the first Protege with 400whp, maybe.

long story short you're still a goon MPNick. and the guy is using the E-manage now He had the AEM on it earlier...I know because he was pulling it off the car to sell to me.

GREAT! Noone said the emanage cannot be used to tune with.
 
lateral cracking of the block casting? The only cracking I've thus far heard of is microcracking on the mains' webbing. Hence mine are deburred and polished. I don't plan on boosting past 24 psi EVER.. and probably closer to 20 normally. or less.. I like traction ;).

Why are you so mad. People BS all the time about how much power they make. Then when it comes down to showing what they have for real the tune changes. This is not your fault 100%. You just were so ready to prove me wrong that you did not check the facts.

But wait a second here, stop the press. He HAD THE AEM and took it off of his car in order to install the E-manage. Now we need to find out more info about this. If it came from any other member I would say that it can not be true. But with you being the man who knows all it must be the real deal.

Dana, how can I change my vote about this thread? I now like it more then before.
 
NICK OR MICAH WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO POST THE INFO THAT THE GUY SENT(THE ONE MATTY CLAIMED HAD 500WHP)
