Think about this way. You are at the shop. Dealing with customers there, working on cars and engines all day long and also trying to check the e-mails. Most people are looking for help,or to have work done or to buy something. Then there is Matt, we all know how he is. What do I gain by trying to help him? I do not have the time for people like him. Yes he can post things about me on this forum. Some people may take his side. In the end they know him and how he is and see things for what it is. If I did help him with the TM we would still be here. His car is still ****** up and he will not take advice that he has been giving from many people. So he would be posting how the MPI is the problem. I cut my loss with him a long time ago.

Very tru... and i dont blame you. Anyone that read the thread that he made just laughed at him. If you ask me from the sounds of it only thing thats going to cure his car problems is a new motor. All im saying is how many jacked ass threads is it going to take.

I am on more then a few car forums for all types of cars. I see the same type of people have the same type of problems with their cars. They cannot get their car to run right, so they post a million times looking for the reason why. They say that they would take into a shop because they do not trust anyone to work on their car, as if they are doing a better job on it. I do not want to hear that they do not have the money to get it fixed. If you do not have the money to get your car fixed then do not hot rod your car.
 
I too am also willing to help when and how I can within reason (as we all understand that statement and how customers can be on occasion). Every unit regardless of what it is will have some issues that come up, and then plenty that customers will make. The MPI install is pretty easy, so the fact it gets messed up often enough makes me cringe to think what will happen when people start installing Microtech's here and there. :D LOL, so much for having a life for me I think. :)

Damn you Nick for making 400 first ;) LOL. I don't think I'll get to dyno until April. But it sounds like there will be a trio or more of 400+ hp cars. Hopefully some have similar mods so SOME minor comparison can be done. But I really don't think there will be much power differencge on vehicles running standalone or piggyback since they all do timing and fuel which is where the power comes from. Some have slightly better resolution than others so you can pick up some smoothness there... but everything else is tuner and setup.

Glad to see the thread head back toward information rather than more EMS bickering. Did I mention that I think all the EMS's/piggy's are nice? :) LOL
 
You know it's sad that we b**** and piss and moan between EMS's when other car communities (Mitsubishi Lancer (not EVO)), have essentially NO functional EMS of any sort?

You guys are all spoiled silly with having choices and so many vendors.

I'm with focus. It's the fact that it's being done the "first" time with our cars that is why it is "cool" in my opinion.

Also WTF do you do with 1000 hp in a FWD car besides keep Tire companies happy? I'm not going to be surprised (and plan to video it for humor sake) if I can light up the tires at 70 on the highway. At that point, why the hell do you need more power? Next you are beefing up axles and trannies and tires and brakes and mounting brackets and driveshafts and where do you give up and say you are being just silly?

Sides.. anybody can drive in a straight line really fast ;) which is all that much HP is good for!
