Why can't this be the new MS3?

why would the car companies want to make more fuel efficient vehicles when they are in bed with the oil companies.

Why is it that we can put a man on the moon, but can't get more than 30 mpg in a regular car? The automakers "do not want"

I guess you think meth injection is stupid too.

For you roids. your dumb, the mzr disi L3t is not that good of an engine. you don't know s*** about anything. you know less than most of the 14 year olds trolling on here. o, and your dumb.

I don't believe a six stroke is more efficient or less emissions. I will keep my four cylinder fourstroke mzr disi and you can have your v12 six stroke.

That's beside the point. Go out and get a wack ass v12 sixstroke and tell the forum all about it. Or better yet leave the mazdaspeed3 forum entirley since you despise it so much. Again, I think the mzr disi is a great engine and I would like to keep mine.
Are you kidding me, I'm taking my MZR and turning it into a 17 and a 1/3rd stroker. First four strokes are normal, next two are steam powered, next two will be battery powered, the next four recycled momentum ala the new KERS F1 system, and the final 5 and a 1/3rd will be my gerbil Smallfry running in his wheel. Who needs 12 cylinders when I can do it in 4?!

1st, there are plenty of cars that get 30mpg.

2nd if you think the mzr disi is such a bad engine then why did you buy it?

the inline 5 is prolly the coolest engine ever. i don't know why I just like the thought of it.

If you consider the numbers 301/325 at the crank for the Ford, the MS3 eclipses that power with what, an intake and tbe? I'd rather keep my MS3, spend a few dollars on parts, and not have to feel like Paul Walker everywhere I go. That RS is a roof scoop away from "...livin' life a quarter mile at a time." If Ford wanted to be really badass, they would put their XR6T engine in a Focus and sell you a burial plot with the upgraded floor mats :)

What about this piece of news.

Ford considers bringing 305-hp Focus to U.S. market

Ford may add a 300-plus-hp Focus to its U.S. lineup.

The Focus RS, a three-door hatchback sold in Europe, is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter five-cylinder Volvo engine with 305 hp.

Hermann Salenbauch, Ford Motor Co.'s director of advanced product creation and global performance, says the decision to sell the Focus RS here will depend on reaction from U.S. car enthusiasts, such as Focus SVT owners.

Ford is looking for "feedback from the media and customers," he says. "How much do they like it? Is it really what they want? We are pretty confident that it is."

The restyled, Europe-engineered 2011 Focus goes on sale here in late 2010, replacing the current model. The car will be assembled in North America. The RS model for the United States would be based on that platform, Salenbauch says. He did not say when it would arrive.

The three-door Focus SVT, a high-performance model, was discontinued during the 2004 model year. It had a $19,205 sticker, including shipping. Salenbauch says an RS model would be priced higher.

British magazine AutoCar published a gushing review of the Focus RS: "Remortgage the house, rob a bank, sell yourself, sell your own grandmother, just do whatever it takes to put an RS on your drive."

i dunno, gm had tons of problems with the inline 5 in the colorado's and canyons. imo, id rather have a V6 than an I5 =/

This is not GM's I5. The cylinder config means nothing. This is made by Volvo and the engine has been very reliable over in Europe for a while...
