From what I've seen a 16" SHOULD fit a non turbo, but won't clear turbo brakes. Very little clearance though. If you can test fit them and you're happy with the clearance and they have the same outside diameter I don't see why it wouldn't work though.

nice, i had good luck with sams for my old pilot-the guy there knew something about tires-was eating tires and had been thru a few sets 20k...he took out a little book checked a few things on the pilot and got me some pirelli a/s but sized up the load range-problem solved 60k later went rite back for a visit-oem discount,no charge to install so less $180
Would you know if the wheel size you have is 7 or 7.5"? Thanks
Any info on wheels for the CX-5 - specifically width-stock seems to be 7" but I see 7.5" will work...Confused.

Tire Rack is very conservative with their fitments, and they'll sell you wheels as wide as 9.5" for a CX-5. It depends on offset and rim diameter, with smaller wheels being limited to narrower widths. In 17" sizes, the widest wheel they have is only 8".

Not sure. Bought the wheels and snows at Discount Tire and they verified fitment. Probably whatever wheel width was standard for a 17” rim on a 16.5 CX-5.
whats your front caliper clearance like on the 6
i thought i was getting a good deal with some conti's that looked like they had almost all of their tread remaining for about half the price new. until the tread started cracking 10,000KM later and i saw that the DOT date is 2017. The rubber on them is hard, but they are otherwise gripping and wearing decently. I've driven more than 30,000KM on them so far and have maybe about 5/32nds remaining on the fronts. But the cracking is kind of bad. I wouldn't do it again.
i would only buy used tires if the DOT date on them is reasonable. otherwise, you're best off just getting new ones.

Agreed! I just found a really good deal on a set of alloys with like new Conti VikingContacts 7 local for $350. The wheels are 5-lug so they won't fit my ND Miata so I was going to sell them and mount the tires to my OEM wheels for winter use. Then I saw that the date code is 1820. Considering my Miata is my daily, the deal is not worth the risk.
If it's the correct tire size for your ND, I would take that deal.
I got some fast wheels with x-ice tires, build date 2016 for $400 CAD. The wheels alone are worth that much. Near perfect set of wheels and tires, so I decided to spin the dice on these tires for one season and see how it goes. I'm sure the tread has hardened, but there is lots remaining, minimal cracking, no patches, etc.
It should fit, depending on the design of the inner wheel barrel. (Not all 16's will fit, but most should I believe.)
I am about to do it on my Mazda 6 for this coming winter, which has the same front disc diameter as the NA CX-5, and a similar size caliper, according to @TheMAN 's post: 2014~2018 - Mazda3 OEM Big Brake Upgrade
I'll update once I have them on next month, if anyone is interested.
They clear just fine on the 6. I was just thinking should I need snow tires I could through these on.
