Jitterbug Perfume - Tom Robbins
Microserfs - Douglas Coupland
Gasoline - Gregory Corso
1984 - George Orwell
Harpo Speaks - Harpo Marx

Favorite series? Huh? The Harry Potter books are the only "series" books I've read. Good books. :D

Favorite Authors:
Hunter, again
Tom Robbins
Chuck Palanick
Gregory Corso
Charles Bukowski

There's more...

Since I read on the Metro rail I go through books about two per month

Over the last two months, I have read:
Everything Eventual (really good by the way) by Stephen King, author of lots of stuff I shouldn't need to mention
Marabou Stork Nightmares by Irvine Welsch, author of Trainspotting,
Eaters of the Dead by Micheal Crichton(sp?), author of Jurasic Park,
The Minotaur by Steven Coontz, author of Flight of the Intruder,
Currently 75% through Survivor by Chuck Palahnuik, author of Fight Club

notice how all the other books were good movies as well.

I read the first four books of the Dark tower Series last year and havent picked up any of the others, but plan on it. I read a lot of Stephan King.

writer of fight club... he does excellent books like survivor and invisble monsters. I suggest everything he written.
I second this opinion

I read all the time, but I'm in my forty's. I hate TV the last decade or so although I'll watch West Wing or Alias. Trying to get into the new Sci Fi stuff this new season but.... My favorite is still David Eddings (the Belgariad series, which I read through once or twice a year) Just finished Salt: A World History which was very interesting. Mostly SciFi and fantasy with the occasional general fiction thrown in. Probably read about 4 books a month as that's about all I have time for due to family. Hard to get my kids to read but they like to once they latch onto the right book. It was my best escape growing up, but of course these days kids have so many other distractions and modes of entertainment.

Current book & favorite author...

His books are very good but very "off", the author is the same author that wrote Fight Club (the book...which turned into the movie)

I'm rather surprised no one has listed Fahrenheit 451 as a favorite book, or George Carlin as an author.

Kurt Vonnegut > all, though.

This is really off the topic of thread, but I just found this preview for The Shining, and since by the reponses of most peoples book tastes, I think they will find it funny
