Who here has a Firearm?

I've had that problem in the past. .45 ACP is a tricky cartridge to reload. For most other rounds you can crimp and seat simultaneously on generic dies. For most dies you have to seat it completely first, then crimp. You could also get the .45 ACP Lee dies that taper crimps and resizes all in one step. Thats what I use personally. Another suggestion is to make sure you are using good brass. Kimber's are very temperamental with reloaded range brass.

Thats what I thought you would say about the kimbers. I have heard the same from others. But I still love my kimber, most accurate 45' I have ever owned. I love the 1911 models. As a matter of fact I need to change out the bore. Any suggestions? Also, since you are a good source other than most of the morons out here in Miami, I recently bought some kimber stainless steal mags. For some reason the mags will not lock the action when mty. Do you think it might be the spring in the mag?

But thank you so much for your info I appreciate it.

I have a Kimber Gold Match II five inch. Easily the best pistol I've ever owned. If you were looking to go with a new barrel, I'd go with the Kimber STS barrel and bushing. It's worth the money.

Hey, did you get a chance to read the rest of my last post on this thread? About the mags???

Oh, I didn't see it. I use Kimber factory 8rnd blue-steel mags. I've never had a problem with any of them. I know "milspec" and colt mags bind up in Kimbers.
