You could say we both went for a brisk jog afterwards.

My wife doesnt even want me to keep it in the house, she said she wants me to keep it out in the shop, I told her it would be better to keep it in the house since we dont sleep in the shop, lol.

yeah you wanna keep your firearm as far away from you as possible (notcool) especially outside so everyone else but you can grab it and go inside your house before you can get it.

your wife needs to get comfortable with firearms. Its not gona jump off the table and shoot everyone in the face.

Ok, Gimpy...that s*** was just funny as hell :)

besides protection and personal vendetta, what can i use a handgun for? i've always had good hand-eye coordination and pretty accurate/precise aim with bb guns etc, although i know it's not the same thing. i used the bb gun to shoot rodents in the backyard etc, i don't think i can use a handgun for the same purpose. is it pretty much shooting ranges etc? i don't really have forests near me

As far as pistols go, I do love the Springfield XD series. Both the 9mm and the .45 have a great feel, and are very accurate. But at the range, nothing feels as fun as renting a H&K mp5. What a badass, that thing is!

mp5 is mini auto machine gun right? like the one in counterstrike? (not trying to be funny)

That would be the one. Fun little SMG. A very quick way to empty a box of 9mm.

I enjoy the Springfield XD's, however they all seem to eject rounds onto my head. Annoys the hell out of me, especially at a range with big stall blinds. I'm more of a classic guy, I stand by my 5" Kimber 1911.

Next time, read the rest of the thread. I have had two AR rifles and know them inside and out. The AR is substantially more accurate than the AK. Put 1000 rounds around through an AR though without cleaning and see where it gets you. Unless you are shooting match, black hills, TAP, etc, welcome to foul-town. When I say reliability, you could literally never clean an AK and shoot it for a life-time.

I know, I was being satirical.

I did read the thread. And as a firearm owner and marksman I would suggest and practice cleaning your firearm after every use or when the chance is available. I wouldn't like to take the chance of my firearm jamming because of carbon buildup and poor maintanence when and if you need it.

Yeah, but you still have to have enough reason to exercise lethal force. It's not like you can just blast someone if they verbally threaten you. It's just the most lax on it since half of Florida is covered with road warriors and psychopaths.

Especially if and when you fire upon a person make sure you don't get them in the back, bc then no excuse will be acceptable.

Are you serious? I've been shooting for over a decade, thanks, I think I know how to operate and maintain firearms. I mean it's like you don't know how to perceive sarcasm or something. Especially since I mentioned how much I loathe cleaning my AR's several times. I have a complete reloading station downstairs with a rack of jag's and cleaning solutions. Anytime I come in from shooting or IDPA events, I tear down everything.

Again, saying the obvious. I'm not a child that needs reminding of these "truths" Your relevance to this thread is like me following you around reminding you that you need to press the clutch in before you shift.

Holy crap on a stick! That things kicks like a freaking mule.

The first mag was just 00 buckshot, not too bad. The second mag was 2oz slugs. I don't remember why I decided to bump fire those, but there are your results. Since the Saiga-12 is gas-operated, the recoil isn't bad, but anything is going to kick when you try to shoot buicks out of it.

Yo, you need to relax. I wasn't pretaining to you specifically. I was just mentioning I guess, yes the obvious. And reloads, maybe you can answer me this, my kimber will not fire reloads for some reason. The round does not feed correctly and the body jams in between the action and bore. I guess the kimber is just a picky little b****...excuse my french.

I've had that problem in the past. .45 ACP is a tricky cartridge to reload. For most other rounds you can crimp and seat simultaneously on generic dies. For most dies you have to seat it completely first, then crimp. You could also get the .45 ACP Lee dies that taper crimps and resizes all in one step. Thats what I use personally. Another suggestion is to make sure you are using good brass. Kimber's are very temperamental with reloaded range brass.
