WHICH SPRINGs!!!!

i have some extra money and am wondering which are the preferred springs for the speed3? and how necessary are the camber kits? any advice?

ive always used eibach springs on my cars and they have never failed me, they tighten up handling a bit, and gave me the perfect ride height. I say go with the Eibach pro-kit. No camber kit is needed.

i'm using the Tein s techs and there pretty good....handling is a lot better than stock the car still feels kind of unstable at high speeds but other than that i can't complain.....the drop is perfect eliminated all my wheel gap....

i have the roadmagnet springs and did not require the camber kit- ride is good and drop is fairly substantial

I am happy with cobb springs, ddint need camber kit either 1" drop and slightly stiffer (15& front 25% rear)

Eibach's are junk and will sag after a year. You have to decide what you want to achieve.. Looks? Handling? Both?

Handling and Looks dept i would go with the Tein's or Mazdaspeed with the rear camber. Cant go wrong there.

i heard good things about the road magnets for the street but dont know about the track.

had the eibachs on my stang for 4 years and they felt like stock springs. I guess youve experienced different.

Aren't the Mazdaspeed springs made by Eibach as well? He might be referring to the fact that the Eibach Pro-Kit springs for the Miata were known to sag after a year. I've never heard of these problems with Eibach springs on any other make of vehicle though.

Seeing as ive owned 18 mustangs, 5 of them Cobras, i tried Eibachs on just about all of them, always ditching them for H&R or coilovers. I didnt learn until my last car to goto H&R from the get go.

wow thats alot of mustangs!! Anyways, i like them. I guess the "sagginess" helps with weight transfer on the 1.4 mile track.

cobb or h&r

ok, narrowed it down to these two! i want no more than an inch drop, and a descent upgrade on handling! I APPRECIATE ALL THE FEEDBACK!

i really like how cobb staggered their spring tensions. one of our biggest problems is putting power down in the front wheels, obviously, and outside of changing our tires, staggering suspension stiffness is the only other way i can think of that will net appreciable gains in this department.

Do any of the spings mentioned require a shock upgrade as well?

I would suggest it. I havent found a spring out there yet on anything ive owned that didnt blow out the stock shocks. They are valved for a certain spring rate and the first thing that gets changed on springs, especially progressive, is their spring rate.

yes, the shock upgrade would be reccomended because it will definitely enhance your ride, but really its not the first thing you have to worry about. The stock struts will hold up if you treat the car right. If you drive the car hard a lot you will need to upgrade to a stiffer strut sooner.

Huh? What do you mean by staggered spring rates? All applications I've seen call for different spring rates for the front and rear. Is that what you mean? Or actually side-to-side? Never seen that on a street application. Not that I've seen all that much to be honest :)
