I know it's stupid, I even get pissed off when people post s*** like this, and yet here I am doing it... Anyways, I can't decide whether to get 4100K or 6000K HID's from Xenondepot. 4100K would give the best lighting, but I wouldn't mind the bluish tinge of the 6000K ones. Basically, the 6000K is just for the look of it, but I'm an anti-ricer, so that defies my own philosophy in a way... Yet, it should be what I'm happiest with in the end, but I'm still torn.

Just vote what you would pick, and I'll go from there. Thanks.

I don't understand why people don't like the bluish HID's. Don't most top-end cars have a bluish light also? I don't really know much about HID's, but if 6000K is indeed less bright, then I'd go with the 4100K. Are you buying this online? Whats the site?

They aren't HIDs, but I chose the Osram Silverstars over the Sylvanias because they are a pure white light instead of the blue. I'm happy with them & they still have a good color IMO. You're paying the extra $$, you should get as much light output as you can.

4300k is the highest light output IIRC, after that, the color goes from white to blue to purple, but the output goes down too. Think about basic science...white light is the brightest...when you move the spectrum, you change the color & decrease output.

ahh, I see, thanks

hm..is Xtreme and XenonDepot both reputable companies? If so I might just get the 6500K (cheapest one)..
Xenondepot is very reputable. The Xtremel ine they carry is a "knockoff" brand so to speak. It's cheaper, but offers higher color temps. The two kits I'm looking at, use genuine Philips ballasts (where the Xtreme kits are a copy) but the 6000K kit uses Ultinon bulbs, while the 4100K kit stays all phillips.

So far, I think 4100K, but please keep voting.

Do the 6000k. How much of a light output decrease are we talkin bout anyways? It's not like it's betweena 10000k and a 4000k difference. increments are a bit small to tell the output difference.

Maxx..andyfatsax has 6 or 7500k HID's and those just light up like a square mile in front of your car. Go w/ 6000. Looks hella cool and you won't notice the output difference much.
