Wheres my fuse for the amp....?

:
2003.5 MSProtege Sunlight Silver
hey i have a problem

i have another subwoofer and i decided to hook it up.....and then it seems it blew....?
(this happened before and i took the woofer out and took it to the dealer)

they said it was the "fuse"

the red triangle isnt working so that means the positive wire from the powersourse isnt coming through......where is that fuse....

all help is welcomed

Or near the battery. There's black fuse holder there, too.

(The on amp one depends on what model amp that Mazda threw in there. My 03 had one on the unit while the newer 3.5 did not.)

yea i put new subs on that amp. turned up the gain then replaced that 15 amp fuse with a 30 wow that little amp has some power but when it gets to hot it turns off or blows so be careful turn the gain half way, turn the bass on the head unit all the way down turn the mids about half way and turn the treble/high's all the way up! you can controll the bass from the FS option this way your system wont sound like s***.

the reason why the amp cuts is that tiny10 gauge wire thats powering the amp. it cant get enough juice

i checked the amp fuse....its intact

but im still looking for the one fuse that you said about being by the battery

is it by th firewall....you think i could get a pic shown for me?....if so thanks fellas

it's on a yellow wire (03.5) that connects to the positive terminal on your battery. inside a little black weather resistant case

yea.. its between the battery and the front of the car.. but basically right in front of the battery. Look for a tiny 1 inch box with a black clip top, the fuse is inside there.

Wow, your whole post was full of things not to do if you care about your system and your ears..

As far as the gain, all you're doing is distorting your original signal. Try upping the boost on the headunit and keep your gain down. Much safer for not only your subwoofers but your amp as well.

Also, there's a reason the amp was shipped with a 15amp fuse. You're going to fry your amp if you keep running it with a 30. That's a LOT of power going to that specific amp, believe it or not. But it's warranty-able, right?

As far as your EQ settings, oh my god. Every person is different as far as how they like to hear music but that is *NOT* how you create quality sound, it's how you blow your speakers. I can only imagine what your system sounds like... Again, I know different people like different sounds but christ.
