I just order a FMIC and i was wondering where are people putting there license plate if anyone has pics or ideas of where i should mount mine let me know and post as many pics as possible

I assume you are in a state that requires front license plates. That sucks. Move to GA. Not too much winter weather, no earthquakes, good car scene, and no front license plates. In fact, you can even get away with a "Tag applied for" on cardboard for about 2 years.

make brackets out of aluminum flat bar and make 90 degree bends. then mount the bracket under the bumper on either side split the difference between the center grill and the side grill (where the fogs would normally go)...

yeah the require the plate

nope they say if you get in a bad accident it can cut your head off my buddy had his in the windshield and we got pulled and thats what he told us

It's still legal though. And the only way I can see your head getting cut off is if someone hit you incredibly hard from behind (that whole physics thing). Plus in that case the air bag would go off and deflect the plate. Some guys I knew in VA used suction cups with hooks to mount it on the lower left of the windshield of their EVOs. Worked pretty well.

it bulls*** mythbusters tested it lol. I would say put it in the window but cops can be dicks and i personally like to avoid all contact with them so you might wanna make a bracket like everyone else has said. Just a question for those using the bracket method what do you use to cover the holes that the bolts for the factory mount left behind?

I have mine in the windshield, but I deal with tons of cops on a daily basis and they all know my car and have all told me that where I have my plate is illegal, but not would dare give me a ticket. It helps that I work in the same district that I live in, and the police station is only half a block from home. So I don't get pulled over going to work either...I'm always running late!!!
My next idea is to trim the plate down a bit and strap it to the visor and just flip it down when I park. But that's inviting issues when I'm driving outside the "safe zone".
I'm trying to see if I can cut large holes through my old plate to let air flow through but use a screen behind it and full in the cut out areas with paint to give it the illusion it's complete from afar.

i might just have to make something cause i'm not trying to get a ticket i like my lowered insurance so we'll see what happens

Question on this, the little dimples they put on the bumper to drill for a front plate are not the correct size on my MSP. Is this normal or did I get a dumb MSP? Is there a little bracket you put on there for someone without a FMIC?

A ticket for a license plate will never show up on insurance because it is a non-moving violation. In VA the license plate just has to be front mounted and facing forward. Check out what the MD license plate laws are, because it's possible the windshield placement is legal. Here in NY it is not legal because it states in the laws that it has to be mounted to the bumper. In VA the plate just had to be displayed and front facing.

There is a plate holder that mounts to the bumper which is what the big holes are for.

Here is mine.

just dont rock the front plate. its manditory in ct, but i never have one. its just a law they wont pull you over for (unless the cop is a REAL prick and didnt meet quota), its just a thing they'll give you a ticket for when your speeding or something else.
